When I was in the States I would often hear Americans order things at cafes or restaurants this way:
„I would do with a smoothie”
to do with sth means to be helped by having sth
„I would do with a smoothie” means „I would like a smoothie”, „I’d appreciate a smoothie”.

why is there no found https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/would+do+with ? Maybe it should be like „could do with” ?
„Could do with something” jest w słownikach, „would do with something” nie ma, a jest tutaj dlatego, że byłam świadkiem użycia tego zwrotu przez Amerykanina stojącego w kolejce przede mną 😉 tzw. real life English 🙂
